Bollywood Debutants of 2013

MTV VJ-turned-actress Rhea Chakraborty is making her Bollywood debut in Yash Raj Films' Mere Dad Ki Maruti. According to reports, even before the release of her debut movie Rhea has already signed two films. One is Rohan Sippy's Sonali Cable and the other one is a YRF film but the lady chooses to stay mum. Sushant Singh Rajput, who became a houshold name with hit TV serial Pavitra Rishta, looks like the most promising debutant of 2013. The youngster has already bagged two movies even before the release of his debut movie Kai Po Che hitting the screens on Febraury 22.

Another TV actor making his big debut is Amit Sadh of Kyu Hota hai Pyaar fame. The actor, who was also seen in reality TV show Bigg Boss, makes his debut with Kai Po Che. The film's premiere was held at the ongoing Berlin Film Festival and Amit, who will be playing the role of Omi, has already received a thumbs up from viewers there.

Following the footsteps of her predecessors Asin and Ileana D'Cruz, southern actress Tamannah is also ready to take a plunge into Bollywood. Tamannah, who is a successful actress down south, will reprise the role played by Sridevi in Himmatwala remake directed by Sajid Khan.

Another southern starlet ready to take baby steps in Bollywood is Taapsee Pannu. The actress, who is rumoured to be dating newcomer Varun Dhawan, will be wooed by not one or two but three men - Ali Zafar and Siddharth Narayan and Divyendu Sharma - in the remake of Sai Paranjpye’s cult film Chashme Baddoor directed by David Dhawan.

Who can forget yesteryear actress Salma Agha and her nasal voice in Nikaah, and now it's her daughter Sasha's turn to take Bollywood by storm. The young girl has been paired opposite Ishaqzaade Arjun Kapoor in Atul Sabharwal's Aurangzeb. (Bollywood Hungama)
